Here are some screenshots of my visual novel "Lucky Number 9". A choose-your-own-adventure story, where you play as a 14-year-old boy trying to make friends in his new town. He'll eventually need to find recruits for his school's struggling tennis team.

1. An ambiguous title screen showing Lucky and Theresa staring out into the unknown.
2. For a more personal experience, you can name your main character, town and even your school mascot.
3. As our story unfolds, you'll be given the chance to explore your new town. Some paths are needed to further the plot, others include optional sidequests for you to complete.
4. Certain people will keep showing up in your life so it's best to get to know them.
5. Communicate with your teammates via text messages. It's always a fun surprise when someone texts you out of the blue.
6. Not everyone in your town will like you when they first meet you and you may have to fight a few of them in turn-based battles. Enemies range from JV football scrubs to coffee-house hipsters.
7. When you have enough members for your team, the real fun starts. How you perform will change the outcome of the story. Don't worry though, you will also have the option to simulate the tennis matches.
8. In your down time, you and your friends will get together for some fun party games like "The Game of Things" or "New Choice".
